Don't think you are clever enough or able to learn? Not feeling very confident about coming back to learning? Had a bad experience of learning at school? This is how most of our learners feel. We spend a lot of time going out into the local community and working with local organisations to reach new learners and encourage them to take up learning at ACE.
Volunteer Computer BuddiesVolunteer computer buddies provide extra help and support to learners in our computer classes. Their role is to assist the tutor and ensure all learners get individual help
Adaptive TechnologiesWe work in partnership with Ability Net to provide assessments for people with disabilities and health conditions. These assessments enable us to identify the adaptive technologies individual learners need to use computer equipment more easily.
ChildcareWe provide free quality childcare to learners whilst they are studying at ACE in order to remove one of the barriers to learning. Childcare is provided through local registered childminders. Free childcare is offered to learner's dependant on their circumstances. Please contact us for more details.
Advice and GuidanceWe provide advice and guidance on adult learning within and out with ACE. ACE is the start of many peoples learning journey and we encourage learners to progress on to other learning, training and employment opportunities outside ACE. We are also able to signpost and refer learners to specialist services out with their learning, providing help and support that they may find useful.
